I checked the unflushed recent articles and couldn't find any router info.
My memory recalls warnings like "don't buy Sears", etc. but I don't
remember other details.
Trendlines has a sale price ($369.00) on a router and bit package (plus a
book). The router is a choice between a Hitachi TR12 3 horsepower 1/2" plunge
router and a Ryobi R600 3 horsepower 1/2" plunge router. The bits are
a 13 piece Freud 1/2" shank C2 carbide set.

TR12: 12.2 amp motor, 22,000 RPM
Includes straight guide, 1/2" carbide straight bit, 1/4" and 3/8" chuck
sleeves, and wrenches.
R600: 15 amp soft-start motor, 22,000 RPM

I plan on using this for basement hobby (if I get good, maybe for cash)
furniture/cabinet-making from hardwoods. My questions are:
Is this overkill, 2) which router should I pick, 3) is this a good price?
