To Know Your Future

To Know Your Future

To know your future, you must know your past,
each stepping stone that has been cast.
Remember the good, as well as the bad,
and feel the emotions of happy and sad.

When remembering the past, you really don't know,
how much you will learn or if you will grow.
You can only judge, by looking back,
surmise how you feel; do you feel on track?

To know your future, you must be aware,
observe your surroundings and always care.
You must be wary, but also believe,
you must be willing to let go and receive.

Focus your mind along with your soul,
this will help to attain all your goals.
But also be willing to sacrifice time,
to develop your senses; refine your mind.

And if you can do this, as sure as may be,
your future is visible for you to see.
For a shift within, where visions appear,
are combined with voices that you can hear.

To know your future, you must learn from your past,
if you want to provide well-being at last.
The future depends on how well you learn,
to observe mistakes and how to discern.

And once you have reached a higher ground,
just stop to rest and survey around.
You will know your future, as clear as glass,
once you forgive and heal from your past.
