2.3 What's this about a new homebuilt newsgroup?

It has been suggested at times (often sarcastically) that a new newsgroup should be made up with some name other than alt.comp.hardware.homebuilt, so that the group would not be plagued with off topic pc-clone related posts.

A newsgroup specifically for "homebuilding" in the PC clone sense of the word (alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt) has been created. All PC questions should go to that newsgroup.

alt.comp.hardware.homedesigned was created in an attempt to provide a low noise alternative to this group. It has since been abandoned.
