* Ingredients:
2 T. oil
2 T. white sesame seeds
3 T. lemon juice
3 T. sugar
1 t. soy sauce
Salt, if desired
1-1½ lb. fresh asparagus
* Directions:
Heat the oil; add sesame seeds and cook until seeds are light
brown. Remove from heat and let cool. Add lemon juice, sugar, soy
sauce, and salt to the sesame seeds; blend well. Wash asparagus and
break off white end. Place in a boiling steamer, and steam for 3-
4 minutes. Asparagus should be bright green and still crisp. Place
in cold water immediately and cool thoroughly. Drain asparagus and
cut on the bias at ¾-inch intervals, leaving about 1 inch of tip.
Pour sauce over asparagus, and turn carefully to coat. Refrigerate
until cold.
