* Ingredients:
2 cups chopped dates
1½ cups hot water
½ cup apple juice concentrate
½ cup walnuts
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
12 cups rolled oats
1 cup slivered almonds
½ cup unsweetened, shredded coconut
* Directions:
Soak dates in hot water while preparing other ingredients. Combine
with next 4 ingredients and process in a blender until smooth.
Place remaining ingredients in a large bowl and add blended
ingredients. Mix well. Spread on cookie sheets and bake at 200°F
for 2-4 hours, stirring occasionally, until crisp and dry. Yields
15 cups or 30 servings.
