* Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
3 T. oil
¼ cup warm water
* Directions:
In medium-sized bowl, sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in oil
until mixture resembles cornmeal. Add water slowly, gently mixing to
form ball of dough. Add additional flour if dough is sticky. Let the
ball of dough set for 20 minutes. Divide dough into 12 balls
approximately 2 inches in diameter. Roll out into 6- to 7-inch
circles. Heat in large skillet 30 seconds on first side. Do not
flatten bubbles that form. Flip and heat until browned. Use in
recipes calling for tortillas or as bread, or split and stuff as a
pita bread.
