I grew up with a B&D 1/3 sheet finish sander. Just bought a Bosch
3283DVS random orbital sander for $94 (Tools on Sale) -- love it. The
ONLY disadvantage I see in it as compared to a traditional finish
sander is the inability to get into corners (some hand work needed in
the case of a rectangular finish sander in a corner anyway). Stock
removal rate can be well controlled via grit choice and speed control.
The Bosch appears to be well made -- smooth and relatively quiet
operation. Definitely recommend it.
