I need to purchase a reciprocating saw for some
projects I have in mind. Rather than talk about
the projects themselves I'd like to focus on the
pros and cons of reciprocating saws from the manufactures:
milwaukee, porter cable, mikita, bosch, black and decker.
Most contractors I've talked to recommend Milwaukee's SAWZALL.
Also, most contractors I've talked know nothing of or have
no comment on Milwaukee's SUPER SAWZALL.
At a local tool distributor, a "tool enthusiast" claims the
Black and Decker (Model # escapes me) has the longest stroke
and has a better center of mass for balance and reduction of
fatigue. No one I talked to has used Porter Cable or Mikita
reciprocating saws. My local hardware store likes the Bosch
but has no comparative reasons for his liking it.
What do you out there think?
I'd like to hear from you.
After about a month or so I will re-post all
the answers I've gotten that are informative.
