33 1/2" routers, router bits

Looking around, I see that there are many brands of routers that
accept 1/2" shank bits. I'm looking for suggestions on features
that I should be looking for on such a router; I've pretty much
determined that I need a plunge capability. I know what the reps
and salespeople say about Hitachi, Porter Cable, Makita and Ryobi -
what do you think?

Along these same lines, in the last year I've been seeing more and more
advertisements for a "cabinet maker's" set of 1/2" shank router
bits (Generally these include a rail cutter, stile cutter, door lip
cutter and raised panel cutter. Some sets include a few additional bits).
The price difference on comparable sets varies by as much as $100.00,
judging by the ads in Fine Woodworking. Have you had experience
with these sets that you'd like to pass on (in particular, with
the Freud set)? Any recommendations?
