I've had one for about a year and and am generally satisfied with it. Biggest
drawback is that it lacks any obvious way to "recalibrate" the various axes of
movement, i.e., on mine the blade is slightly off perpendicular to the table
surface and I can't find any way to adjust it. Another point is that the
spindle is short: I bought an adjustable dado ( the kind with the matching
beveled wobble washers), and it was too thick to fasten on firmly.
As for space, an idea I copped from a magazine (for which I don't have a
source anymore) article helped a lot: I built a recess, about 8" deep in the
wall behind the table the saw is on, so that the column and arm are set in.
Gives me several extra inches clearance, and catches much of the sawdust. Just
be sure to make it wide and high enough to handle the full range of swing and
height adjustment.
