Regarding six inch jointers, I just bought a Delta 6" jointer and so far I am
very pleased with it. Probably the biggest plus is that it worked properly right
out of the box. Another plus is that Delta is very specific in the owners manual
that if something is missing or was damaged in shipment, simply call their 800
number and they will send another part out to you right away. It appears as though
the knives will be easy to change/reset, but only time will tell, and the
machine as a whole seems to be very well made.
