I've only subscribed to this newgroup for a short time, but have
throughly enjoyed reading everyone's comments and suggestions.
I'm thinking of purchasing a small to medium size jointer/planer for
my shop. What machines are you netlanders using? Since most of my
glue-ups consist of two to three inch widths, is is worth the extra
money to purchase a six or maybe even eight inch jointer instead of
a four? How often do you guys use the full width? Also, is a center-
mounted fence inherently better than one attached on the 'end' (as in
Delta's 4 & 6 " models)? Finally, how do 'motorized' jointers compare
to those with the motors mounted lower on the stand?
Thanks for any suggestions.
