I own a 12" bandsaw from sears. I have had it for about 4 years. Funny,
I have been making some christmas decorations for my yard and have been using
my bandsaw heavily. It really is a poor saw. I have been cusing it for
the past couple of days.

The saw is shakey which of course is bad during a cut, it does not hold
a blade as it should (blades will pop off on a curve cut), and the throat
is not deep enough for any but the smallest uses. Getting a half-way
decent square cut on resaw (even with their widest blade - 1/2 inch) is
just short of impossible. I have tried modifing the fence but even this
doesn't help much.

summary: It is just too cheaply made even for light home use.
